Appointment/Workshop Registration & Cancellation Policy
Our goal is to provide professional academic support in a timely manner. This cancellation policy enables us to better utilize our advisors' time for students in need of academic support.
NOTE: the most recent version of the cancellation policy applies to all current cancellations.
To schedule an appointment or register for a workshop, please call the Student Success Centre at (780)492-2682 or visit us at 2-300 in the Students' Union Building (SUB).
We encourage you to schedule appointments or register for workshops at least 1 or 2 weeks in advance, as our advisor can be in high demand.
Cancelling/Rescheduling of an Appointment or Workshop
In order to be respectful of the academic needs of the University's student community, please be courteous and call the Student Success Centre as soon as possible if you are unable to attend an appointment or workshop.
If it is necessary to cancel/reschedule your appointment or registration, we require that you contact our office at least 24 hours in advance. Due to high demand for our consultations and workshops, advanced notice will allow for other students to access our services.
How to Cancel Your Appointment or Workshop Registration
To cancel appointments or workshop registrations, please call (780)492-2682 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you do not reach the receptionist, you may leave a detailed message on our voice mail.
Cancellation received with less than 24 hours notice will be considered "no-shows" and a refund will not be issued.
No Show Policy
Failure to attend a scheduled appointment or workshop without proper cancellation notice will be recorded in your file as a "no-show." After two "no-shows," advance payment will be required for any future appointments or workshop registrations.
